1 Lakh Visa Overruled after Trump’s Travel Ban
Over 1 lakh Visas have been reportedly revoked after Trump’s Travel Ban on Travel from seven Muslim Majority countries.
The numbers came out during the hearing in a lawsuit filed by attorneys of Two Yemeni brothers who arrived at Dulles International Airport last week. They were forced into giving up their legal resident visas and were put on a return flight to Ethiopia.
The government attorney from the Justice Department’s office of Immigration litigation could not tell how many people with visas were sent back to their home country but he did say that all the people with green cards who came through the airport have been let into the United States.
There are many people just like Yemeni Brothers who tried to enter the country over the weekend with valid visas and were sent back. The government is not attempting a case-by-case reprieve.
