1972 – Jyotinder Singh Randhawa is an Indian professional golfer who plays on the Asian Tour and has won eight times between 1998 and 2009. He also ranked among the top 100 Official World Golf Rankings several times between 2004 and 2009.

1983 – Trisha Krishnan, famously known as Trisha, is an Indian actress and model, who works in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. She has won several beauty pageants including the Miss Madras contest, which marked her entry into the world of films.

1905 – Justice Anna Chandy, also known as Anna Chandi, was the first female judge in India. She was also the first woman in India to become a High Court judge. She became a judge in 1937 and was one of the first female judges in the British Empire next to Emily Murphy.

1947 – Dasari Narayana Rao was an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, dialogue writer, actor, lyricist, and politician. With over one hundred and fifty feature films, he was known for his predominant works in Telugu cinema, Television, and in Bollywood.

2008 – Pandit Kishan Maharaj was an Indian tabla player belonging to the Benares Gharana of Hindustani classical music.
