Remember, how we told you that Sarojini Nagar Market is one of the best street markets in Delhi? Well, we thought you might also be interested in some first-hand experiences of the place, so here we are sharing all the details from our latest excursion to this ultimate street shopping destination!
A practical loot, what we would like to call it, this market has got just one rule that you should adhere to- EVERYTHING UNDER 500! Yes, you read that right! Don’t settle for a penny more than that. The price usually depends on how well you can bargain in here, so never pay what the shopkeeper asks you, cut it down by half, that’s what the actual price is!
You name the brand and it is there Armani, Zara, Calvin Klein, you’ll be surprised by the labels you will find here! From tank tops to sweatshirts, gym wears traditional wear, this market covers everything in the latest fashion in stock! The price range varies between Rs 150-500 depending on the shop you’re shopping from and well, on your bargain power too! It is also the best place to shop if you’re looking for some funky artificial jewelry or traditional jhumkis, stoles, dupattas, footwear, bags or wallets! We’ve got some amazing deals on these items, the prices for which was between Rs 20- Rs 150!
One more thing that you would find in abundance here is the cosmetics. You would find someone selling cosmetics at every 10 steps. Be careful as there’s no guarantee if the products are genuine of the printed brand or are good quality. Buy only if you don’t mind using just any brand.
You might be thinking that this place is a girls-only market! But, we fret you are absolutely wrong! All you guys, there’s something that we’ve found for you as well! From inexpensive regular wear tees to unbelievably cheap boxers, this market has got a variety of them! Further, the Gali near the ICICI bank has got a variety of collection of funky caps (we’re sorry if they are a little funkier than you expect). Don’t get disappointed so soon, Shop No 174 in here has a large variety of formal shirts for men. Starting as low as Rs 250, some of them were really decent looking.
Lastly, you can get some lip-smacking Bhelpuri, momos, fresh juices and corncob in here, and who doesn’t like to munch while shopping!
- Never do a rookie-mistake of NOT carrying a big bag to stuff your shopping in it because carrying those little plastic bags can be really a task!
- Park your car at the underground parking in the Mall close to the market.
- If you are using metro, get down at INA station and hop into a shared auto rickshaw who would charge just Rs.10 to drop you at the market.
- For little high-end clothes at a good price go to Abrol Sons, shop No.99.
