Air India flight diverted to Kazakhstan

Early morning today, An  Air India flight diverted to Kazakhstan, which was flying from Mumbai to Newark but was forced to land in Kazakhstan after a fire alarm in its cargo hold went off.

Spokesperson for the airlines told that all passengers are safe, and the aircraft is being inspected by engineers to find out the cause.

The airline claims no smoke or fire has been detected. In a tweet, it said the Air India flight diverted to Kazakhstan was diverted due to “operational reasons”.

The Air India flight diverted to Kazakhstan took off from Mumbai airport around 2.25 am. It landed in Kazakhstan around 8 am.
