Airline Association Bans Shiv Sena MP, after he Turned Violent on-board
Shiv Sena MP, Ravindra Gaikwad has reportedly assaulted a staff member from Air India, and will not be allowed on flights.
Sources tell, that an association of airlines has decided that Ravindra Gaikwad will no longer be allowed on flights.
Mr Gaikwad, displaying no remorse over hitting the Air India staff member so badly that his spectacles broke, told reporters yesterday, “I hit him 25 times with my slipper.”
The Member of Parliament, Ravindra was furious that he had not been given a business class seat on the flight from Pune to Delhi. Except that the plane was all-economy, a fact that had been conveyed to the politician’s office in advance. To ensure VIP treatment, he was seated in the front row.
When the plane landed, Mr Gaikwad refused to leave the plane. When Duty Manager Shiv Kumar arrived in the cabin to persuade him to end his protest, the politician turned violent.
The Air India Employee wrote in the complaint, “God save our country if this is the culture of our politicians and MPs”.
On the other hand, Mr Gaikwad, says Air India must be investigated for ill-treating him. This after he told reporters that he used his sandal to hit a 60-year-old manager for Air India 25 times. The shiv Sena has so far not announced any action against him. Air India has filed police cases against him.
Mr Gaikwad told reporter’s today, “I dare the Delhi police to arrest me…I will not apologise, he (Air India manager) must come to me and apologise”, claiming that “a 60-year-old man must know how to behave “and suggesting that his party will stand by him.
