Christian Pulisic is an American footballer who came to the stage of world football because of Borussia Dortmund and Jurgen Klopp, who is the current Liverpool FC manager. Klopp saw the potential in Pulisic and involved him in the first team.
He became the youngest goalscorer in Bundesliga and for Borussia Dortmund in 2016 at the age of 17! After being a constant starter for BVB in the last 3 seasons, Chelsea decided to invest in the young American after the departure of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid. In the match that took place between RB Salzburg and Chelsea FC Christian Pulisic netted a brace against the Austrian club. The match ended with a scoreline of 5 goals to 3. The Austrian side started the game strongly and played very well throughout.

Pulisic’s second goal came from an exquisite pass from Ross Barkley, who scored the second goal of the game by converting a penalty. Frank Lampard’s team is looking good and it seems the former player has figured out his tactics and strategies. The biggest talking point of the game was the goal scored by Pedro in the 57th minute which has gone viral on social media, Instagram and Twitter.

Pedro scored a no-look finish off a cross from Ross Barkley. The finish was executed mid-air that guided the ball through the substitute goalkeeper, Philipp Kohn. The last goal for Chelsea was scored by Michy Batshuayi ensuring the English club’s win. Batshuayi also had a short stint at BVB in the 2018 season where he played alongside Pulisic. Chelsea’s final pre-season game is against German side Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday. Pulisic demonstrated why they spent £58m to get him and it seems like he is on the right track under a manager who seems to understand his game.
