Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Speech in English – The 75th Independence Day in India will be celebrated on 15th August 2022. To celebrate 75 years of independence, a special campaign “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” has been organized by the Government of India.

Good morning, everyone! Today I am going to give a speech on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav!
On 15th August this year, India will be celebrating its 75th Independence Day! India attained freedom from Britishers in 1947 after a struggle of 200 years. Since then, 15th August has been celebrated as India’s Independence Day!
On 12th March 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav which will be celebrated for a span of 75 weeks ending on 15th August 2023. This government initiative will focus on the history, culture, development, and future of our country. Several events, programs, and campaigns have been launched under this initiative. The programs have been launched on both national and state levels.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav shows India’s achievements in the past 75 years while focusing on development in the coming years. The initiative marks goals to be achieved by 2047 when India will complete 100 years of independence.
One of the popular campaigns under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is Har Ghar Tiranga! Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged Indian citizens to hoist our tricolor at their houses on rooftops, balconies, etc., to spread the color of patriotism from 13th-15th August 2022.

Independence Day is one of the biggest celebrations for Indians! To mark the day, the Prime Minister hoists the National Flag at the Red Fort and addresses the nation. Various cultural events are organized throughout the country in schools, colleges, offices, societies, etc. People fly kites to fill the sky with colors on this day! Sweets are distributed to celebrate Independence Day! People also pay tribute to freedom fighters who fought for our country’s independence. It is a historical day that is celebrated with patriotism and love!
