Bangladesh Players Boycott 2019 – The tour of Bangladesh to India might not happen. It is doubtful because the Bangla Players have gone on strike. The players from the national squad have made it clear to the press and the reporters that they will not participate in any cricket activities unless the board fulfills their demands.
Bangladesh Cricketers Strike – This also means that the Bangladeshi players will not be playing the series of 3 T20 Internationals and 2 match Test Series against India. This tour of the Bangla Tigers will start on November 3rd, 2019.
Senior players like Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah and the big group of first-class players of Bangladesh were present in the press conference which was held in the national capital.

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury said that they resolve this issue as soon as possible and also added that there wasn’t any revolt between the board and the players and that the players will tell their demands and the Board will look upon the matter.
The players have six and more demands. Firstly, they don’t want domestic leagues like the Dhaka Premier League in Bangladesh to not have a salary cap.
Bangladesh Players Boycott 2019 – The players want the Bangladesh Premier League to be conducted as the franchise based style instead of the old BBL type formats. The BCB Board recently decided to go away from the franchise-based format because they fall out of the franchise, and due to that, the BPL turned into a Big Bash League model.
‘The Local players who take part in the Bangladesh Premier League should get equal remuneration as the foreign players.’
‘The senior players and the first-class players need the Cricket Welfare Association of Bangladesh to be dismantled.’ ‘The players also want fresh elections in the country, that will avoid having the conflict of interest issue.’

After Bangladesh got defeated by Afghanistan in the lone test series at home, the BCB board implanted the rule that the BPL team should have at least one leg spinner in the team. The BCB Board also suspended two BPL teams because they failed to follow this rule.

This decision surprised Shakib and the other players and they felt like the board has taken a good decision.
