Wagah Border: Wagah Border is located 32kms away from Amritsar; it is famous for the Beating Retreat ceremony that includes the opening of gates from both the sides India and Pakistan, Indian BSF guards and Pakistan Rangers marching, people singing the National Anthem with some other dancing. It began in 1959 with the agreement of both the countries; since July 2011, women guards have also been allowed to be part of this ceremony. It is a sight to see and if you are in Amritsar make sure to watch it.
