Sushant Singh Rajput
Sushant Singh Rajput is an Indian film actor and dancer. Rajput started his career with television serials. But before becoming an actor, he was one of the background dancers at the 51st Filmfare Awards in 2005. He was also seen dancing in the background in the title track of ‘Dhoom 2’ featuring Hrithik Roshan.

Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor was interested in dance from an early age, and at the age of 15, he joined Shiamak Davar’s dance institute. Kapoor appeared as a background dancer in the films Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) in the song ‘Mujhko Hui Na Khabar’ and Taal (1999) in the song ‘Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jaye’ before he went on to become a big star.
Kajal Agarwal
Kajal Aggarwal is a popular name in the Indian film industry. Aggarwal who has established her career in the Telugu and Tamil film industries appeared as a background dancer at the beginning of her career. Kajal can be seen in the popular song “Pyar Mein Sau Uljhanne Hai”, featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi.

Daisy Shah
Daisy Shah is a dancer and an actress of Indian cinema. She worked under Ganesh Acharya for three years before getting roles in Kannada films. The actress was also seen as a background dancer in ‘Lagan Lagi’ from Salman Khan’s ‘Tere Naam’.
Dia Mirza
Before entering into an acting career in Bollywood, Dia Mirza started as a background dancer in films. Dia was first seen in a song from the Tamil film ‘En Swasa Kaatre’. She participated in Miss India 2000 where she was the second runner-up and went on to win Miss Asia Pacific title in the same year. She left Bollywood after just a few films. Now, she has set up her own production house, Born Free Entertainment, with her husband Sahil Sangha and has also appeared in some travel shows.

Arshad Warsi
Arshad Warsi was a choreographer before he became an actor. It is known that he worked as a background dancer in a Jeetendra and Kimi Katkar song called ‘Help Me’ from the film Aag Se Khelenge. He later moved to act and has many hit movies to his credit.

Remo D’souza who is a well-known choreographer once used to be a background dancer. He worked as a background dancer for several songs including ‘Meri Mehbooba’ from Shah Rukh’s ‘Pardes’. Farah Khan
The famous director Farah Khan was once a choreographer. She was seen as a background dancer in the song Hum Hain Naujawan from the Sadaa Suhagan in 1986. Went on to become an actor, Director and Producer.
Saroj Khan
Saroj Khan has choreographed a number of songs in many Bollywood songs. In the beginning of her career, she was also a background dancer and was seen in the song ‘Aaiye Meharbaan’ from ‘Howrah Bridge’. She is lovingly called ‘Masterji’ by everyone in Bollywood and has many hit dance sequences to her credit.
