Chennai Super Kings Team 2022 Matches Results, Players List & Fixtures – The 4-times champion Chennai Super Kings is owned and managed by Chennai Super Kings Cricket Ltd and India Cements. The franchise is based out of Chennai and M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai is the team’s home ground. 

The Chennai Super Kings hold the record for winning the maximum titles: 4 times in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. They have played the maximum playoffs – 11 times and finals – 9 times.

CSK vs KKR, Match No.1, March 26, Result: KKR won by 6 wickets

 

 

The defending champions CSK started their TATA IPL 2022 campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders where they faced their first defeat of the season by six wickets. Batting first, CSK posted a total of 131/5 where MS Dhoni returned to his vintage mode and scored an unbeaten 50 runs from 38 balls. However, KKR chased the target with 6 wickets in hand.

CSK vs LSG, Match No.7, March 31, Result: LSG won by 6 wickets

 

 

The Lucknow Super Giants in their debut IPL match defeated CSK by six wickets. It was a high scoring encounter. CSK posted a total of 210/7 with Robin Uthappa being the top scorer with 50 runs. LSG however chased the target by six wickets in hand with fifties from Lewis and de Kock.

CSK vs PBKS, Match no.11, April 3, Result: PBKS won by 54 runs

 

 

The Punjab Kings crashed CSK in the next match by a huge margin of 54 runs. CSK was completely outplayed by PBKS in all the departments. PBKS posted 180/8 with Liam Livingstone being the top scorer with 60 runs. CSK were bowled out for just 126 runs which marked their hat trick of defeats in TATA IPL 2022. 

CSK vs SRH, Match no.17, April 17, Result: SRH won by 8 wickets

 

 

SRH handed CSK their fourth consecutive defeat in TATA IPL 2022. CSK posted a decent total of 154/7 which the SRH batsmen chased down comfortably by 8 wickets. This further spoiled CSK’s net run rate which always plays a crucial part in the IPL.

CSK vs RCB, Match no.22, April 12, Result: CSK won by 23 runs

 

 

CSK registered their first win in TATA IPL 2022 with an emphatic victory against RCB by 23 runs. Having asked to bat first, CSK posted a huge total of 216/7.  Shivam Dube was the star with the bat with an unbeaten 95 runs. Along with him, Robin Uthappa showed his vintage class with brilliant 88 runs. CSK later defended the total successfully by 23 runs and drew their first two points of the season.

CSK vs GT, Match no.29, April 17, Result: GT won by 3 wickets

 

 

Gujarat Titans managed to get over the line by three wickets in a thriller of a match against Chennai Super Kings. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 73 runs and powered CSK to 169/5. Defending the total, CSK had the match under control and were cruising towards victory. However, crushing their dreams, David Miller played an exceptional innings of 94 unbeaten runs which handed CSK their fifth defeat in TATA IPL 2022.

CSK vs MI, Match no. 33, April 21, Result: CSK won by 3 wickets

 

 

Regarded as one of IPL’s biggest rivalries, Chennai versus Mumbai has always proven to be an exciting contest. In this year’s IPL too, both teams were up against each other in match no.33 of TATA IPL 2022. MI gave CSK a target of 156 runs. Riding on MS Dhoni’s vintage finishing touche, CSK edged past MI by three wickets in yet another thriller of a match. Dhoni was unbeaten on 28 runs from 13 balls which sealed CSK‘s second victory of the season.

CSK vs PBKS, Match no.38, April 25, Result: PBKS won by 11 runs

 

 

Chennai Super Kings played its eighth match of TATA IPL 2022 against Punjab Kings. The team fought well but ended up on the losing side. PBKS posted a huge total of 187/4 on the back of Shikhar Dhawan’s unbeaten 88 runs. In reply, CSK could only manage 176/6 from their 20 overs. Ambati Rayudu top scored with 78 runs. This was CSK‘s sixth defeat in TATA IPL 2022.
