Children Banned to participate in Human Pyramid in Janmashtmi
Janmashtmi is around the corner, which is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Krishna. Every year dozens of groups mark the festival by forming Human pyramids to reach pots carrying yoghurt hung high above.
This year Indian courts have passed the orders that children below the age of 18 cannot participate in this human pyramid religious festival.
The court also banned Human Pyramids taller than 20ft.
But recent years have seen injuries and accidents. Last year, one man died and more than 100 other suffered injuries during the celebrations.
The Supreme Court upheld an earlier high court ruling on Wednesday that the tradition was dangerous for children.
