  • 20 March: Delhi Government ordered for a close down of all malls, restaurants, gyms, etc in the state till March 31.
  • 19 March: AIIMS doctors use self-made hand sanitizers, plastic masks.
  • A PIL seeks for immediate dispersal of mass gatherings at Shaheen Bagh.
  • 17 March: RWA members and police talk to the protesters at Shaheen Bagh, requesting them to call off their protest.
  • Rajghat has been closed till 31st March

Haryana – coronavirus news Haryana

  • 23 March: Lockdown imposed in 7 districts of Haryana.
  • 18 March: The District Magistrate Gurugram orders all MNC, IT Firms, Industries, BPO’s, Corporate offices situated in Gurugram to allow their employees to work from home till 31st March 2020
  • 17 March: A woman tests positive for coronavirus in Gurgaon. The first confirmed case in Haryana.
  • 15 March: Biometric attendance in government departments have been banned till 31 March. Political parties are avoiding public events and rallies.
  • Schools and colleges have been closed until 31 March.

Himachal Pradesh

  • 17 March: The Main Tibetan Temple (Tsuglagkhang) in McLeod Ganj will be closed from tomorrow till April 15.
  • Government-run temples are now closed. Public advise devotees to go for online darshan.

Jammu and Kashmir

  • 23 March: Authorities in Kashmir have enforced a lockdown.
  • 19 March: All public transports are banned in Sri Nagar.
  • 18 March: Vaishno Devi Yatra closed for pilgrims.
  • 17 March: The J&K High Court issued a circular restricting functioning in both of its Jammu and Srinagar wings to urgent matters only, till March 31.

  • The doctor who treated Coronavirus-infected man tests positive for coronavirus.
  • 12 March: First death in India due to the Coronavirus. A 76-year-old male from Karnataka is confirmed dead. The cause of death was due to co-morbidity and he was tested positive for Coronavirus. He had a travel history to Saudi Arabia from 29th January to 29th February and was a known case of Hypertension and Asthma.

  • 17 March: Kerala government launches ‘break the chain’ mass campaign.
  • 25 doctors among 75 SCTIMST employees placed under isolation.
  • V Muraleedharan, Union Minister of State for External Affairs is in self-quarantine in Trivandrum.
  • 16 March: 1 new case.
  • 15 March: According to the latest state government figures, 3,910 people in Kerala are under surveillance at their homes, while 270 others are admitted to various hospitals. The state is on high alert and the government has urged people to take care of cleanliness.
  • 9 March: 1 new case reported.
  • 8 March: 5 new cases confirmed for Coronavirus. They had a travel history from Italy.
  • 5 March: 3 confirmed cases from Kerala have recovered and have been discharged.
  • 2 February: The second case in India was confirmed in Kerala. The individual was reported as a regular traveler between India and China.
  • 3 February: The third positive case was reported in Kasaragod, Kerala. The patient traveled from Wuhan.
  • 30 January: The country’s first case was confirmed in a student who returned from Wuhan University.

  • 23 March: Total 89 positive Coronavirus cases, 14 new cases in Mumbai and 1 in Pune – Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope
  • 23 March: Section 144 imposed in Pune till March 31.
  • 23 March: A 68-year-old man, who earlier recovered from the coronavirus died in Mumbai.
  • 21 March: 11 new cases.
  • 20 March: Uddhav Thackeray ordered shutdown of private offices in Mumbai.
  • 19 March: A/C local train services have been shut down in Mumbai, effective 20 March onwards.
  • Dabbawalla suspends services till March 31.
  • 18 March: Additional Municipal Commissioner Suresh Kakani said the number of COVID-19 cases remained constant in the metropolis with no fresh case being detected till 11 am.
  • 17 March: 7 more labs for coronavirus testing likely to be added.

Tamil Nadu

  • 23 March: 75 districts in Tamil Nadu under lockdown till March 31.
  • 23 March: Chennai bench to hear only some urgent pleas on Wednesday & Friday.
  • 17 March: The next two weeks no visitor or family members will be allowed to meet prisoners in the prisons. Monitoring rooms have been set up inside the prisons to screen all new prisoners to the jail.
  • Protest in Chennai against CAA called off
  • 7 March: 1 case has been tested positive with travel history from Oman.
  • 6 March: An orientation workshop of 104 call center employees was conducted in Chennai.

Telangana – coronavirus news Telangana

  • 4 March: Two cases with high viral load have been detected in Telangana.
  • 2 March: 1 confirmed case in Hyderabad. He is a 24-year-old engineer with a travel history from the UAE.
  • 88 people who were in contact with the Hyderabad individual, including fellow bus passengers from Bangalore, were tracked down by the government and are placed under watch.
  • Officials of the Government of Telangana stated that 36 people who had been in contact with the Hyderabad engineer had developed coronavirus symptoms.
  • An employee of Intel in Bangalore who had come in contact with him was quarantined.

Uttar Pradesh – coronavirus news UP

  • 23 March: Lockdown imposed in 16 districts of Uttar Pradesh from 23-25 March.
  • 23 March: Police is stopping vehicles from Delhi to enter UP at the Delhi-Gautam Budh Nagar border amid lockdowns.
  • 23 March: Lucknow Clock Tower anti-CAA protest called off.
  • 23 March: Noida, Ghaziabad & 13 other UP districts are under corona lockdown till March 25.
  • 21 March: 5 new cases.
  • 19 March: 2 more test positive in Lucknow.
  • 19 March: An employee of HCL Technologies tests positive
  • 18 March: One more tested positive in Gautam Buddh Nagar
  • 17 March: A junior doctor tests positive in Lucknow

  • Taj Mahal is now closed for public visits.

  • Laboratories are being prepared for sample testing of this virus at five places in the state.
  • A system of tests is being started at BRD Medical College Gorakhpur and Beach AU Varanasi. Isolation wards have been made in all 75 districts of the state, which have 820 beds.
