1.Hemis Festival

The two festivals commemorate the birth of Guru Padmasambhava, who founded Tantric Buddhism in Tibet. In this traditional festival have music, colors masked dance and a fair full of handicrafts are the attractions.

Location: Hemis Monastery, Leh, Ladakh.

2.Shimla Summer Festival 

Shimla is known as the queen of the hill station and to beat the heat you have the best Shimla summer festival is the best option. It features music, dance, performance, with famous singers, fashion, and plenty of local foods and handicrafts. So be ready for the event.

3.Champakulam Boat Race

Champakulam boat race is the oldest and traditional boat race of Kerala,  It is the first boat race of the season. All the boats decorated with colorful parasols and performing artists.

Location: Pampa River at Champakulam, not far from Alleppey in Kerala.

4.KottiyoorUtsavam

The annual 28 days Kottiyoor festival takes place at two temples, Akkare Kottiyoor and Ikkare Kottiyoor. Kottiyoor temple only opens during the festival. They celebrate the Neyyattam ritual on the first day and the Thirukalasattu ritual on the last day to attract the most viewers and devotees.

Location: Kannur district, Kerala.

5.Ochira Kali

The festival is a mock fight that commemorates is a historic battle between the Kayamkulam and Ambalapuzha kingdoms in medieval times. Men dressed as warriors enter a waterlogged and wetland. Ceremoniously to the beat of drums, using sticks the way they celebrate the festival.

Date: 15-16 June 2020

Location: Wetland near Ochira Parabrahma temple, Ochira, Kollam district, Kerala.

6.Yuru Kabgyat 

 YuruKabgyat festival at the Lamayuru Monastery is the oldest monastery in the region. The events are full of dance music celebration and all.

Date: 19-20 June 2020

Location: Lamayuru Monastery, Ladakh. It’s about two and a half hours from Leh.

7.Feast of Saints Peter and Paul

The Fest is a celebration of monsoon by Goa’s local fishing communities, sees people sailing up the river on rafts while performing plays and songs.

Date: June 29, annually.

Location: Goa, particularly the riverside villages of Candolim, Siolim, and Ribandar.
