Defence Entrance Exams 2022 After 12th Class
NDA & NA Exam
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) commences the exams for National Defence Academy and the Naval Academy twice a year. The defence entrance exam involves an offline test followed by SSB Interview. On being selected in the interview, the chosen candidates are supposed to join the National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla for 3 years. After completing the course, the trainees or cadets shall proceed to the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun; Indian Air Force Academy in Hyderabad; to the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala. The objective paper includes two exams: Paper-01: Mathematics (300 marks) and Paper-02: General Ability Tests (600 marks).
The naval branch of the Indian Armed Forces is called the Indian Navy and unmarried males can apply for the Indian Navy B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme. This degree course is of 4-years degree course and the selection is based on AIR scored in JEE Mains. The qualified students are informed via text message or email about the SSB Interview. The interview involves two stages:
Stage 1: includes the Intelligence test, Picture Perception test, and Group Discussion.
Stage 2: includes psychological testing, Group testing followed by 4 days of the interview.
The successful applicants then appear for the medical examination. The fit candidates pursue training at Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala. The selected students work in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics & Communication Engineering for 4 years as per requirements. The Jawaharlal National University awards the B.Tech degree on completion of the course.

Indian Navy Sailors
The sailors in the Indian Navy are recruited under different capacities of Matric Recruit, Artificer Apprentices, Senior Secondary Recruit, Non-Matric Recruit, and Musician. The selection of the candidates is based on their score on the defence entrance exam after the 12th based on the syllabus of the 12th class.
Indian Army Technical Entry Scheme
The students with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12th can appear for this defence entrance exam. The training period is of 5 years, which is divided into two phases: Phase 01: 1 year of Pre-Commissioning Training at OTA, Gaya and 3 Years at CME Pune or MCTE or MCEME Secunderabad and Phase 02: 1 year of Post-Commission Training.

Indian Air Force Airman in Group ‘Y’
The defence entrance examination for recruitment of airmen in Non-Technical Group-Y is commenced by the Indian Air Force. The applying candidate must have completed class 12th and then appear for the Objective Entrance Exam. Those who score the required marks in the entrance test must undergo the Adaptability Tests 1 and 2.
