Delhi Assembly Election Date 2020 – The Election Commission has revealed the schedule for Delhi polls. The term of the 70-member assembly ends on February 22, means a new house has to be constituted before that date.
This will be the first election after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP defeat in Jharkhand. BJP lost to an opposition alliance led by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and including the Congress.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party is looking for re-election after recording a massive win in 2015. AAP won 67 of 70 seats with the remaining three going to the BJP and the Congress drawing a blank.

Last week Mr Kejriwal said, “Cleaning up Delhi is our priority”. He also considers clean water, safety of women and improving public transport. He said AAP government worked with complete honesty to make the lives of Delhi’s citizens better. But the results if actual work done are there for everyone to see.
BJP’s in-charge for the Delhi election and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said, nothing has been decided yet and that the party would take decisions as per strategy.
