Delhi government cancels license of Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh
On 8th December, Delhi government cancelled the license of the Max Hospital in Shalimar Bagh for having medical negligence in the case of the newborn baby.The twins in which one baby was found alive after being declared dead by the doctor.
The Max Hospital case relates to one of the premature twins in which the hospital wrongly declared the death of both children last week at the hospital. On 30th November, Ashish Kumar’s wife gave birth to premature twins, a boy and a girl at the hospital. Both the babies were declared dead by the hospital and handed over to the family in a polythene bag. After some time the family found that the boy was still alive during the time when they were on the way to do cremations of both the babies. Immediately, the family rushed the baby to the nearest hospital in Pitampura. However, Ashish Kumarn protests against the hospital and demanded that the doctors of Max Hospital allegedly involved in the in the case and should be arrested. Ashish brother also continues to protest outside Max Hospital.
The Delhi government formed panel to look into the case of Max Hospital, yesterday found Max Hospital guilty of not following medical norms in dealing with newborn infants. The action taken by the three members of the inquiry panel of the government submitted its final report to the Health Ministry. During the press conference, Health Minister Satyendra Jain said “the government will not tolerate “criminal negligence” and Delhi government has cancelled the license of Max Hospital.
