Amidst all the chaos of Dates for Eid-al-Fitr it is finally decided to be celebrated on 7th July 2016 in India. The government of India has canceled the Holiday earlier announced on Wednesday and postponed it to Thursday after taking opinions of Muslim clerics and geographical experts. However, Jammu and Kashmir, Mangalore and Kerala will celebrate it on 6th July along with Saudi Arabia and Other Gulf countries.


Eid-Al-Fitr will begin on Wednesday in the Middle East, following the observance of the new moon and this celebration can last for three days.
The rare occurrence of celebrating Eid on 2 different days is said to happen once in three decades.
