Ex Arunachal Chief Minister Found hanging
Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Kalikho Pul allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday morning, weeks after he was ordered by Supreme Court to stand down as chief minister.
He was found hanging in his official residence at Itanagar.
Mr Pul left a diary, which is being examined by the police. “We have also recovered a suicide note from the room where the former chief minister committed suicide. However, I am not in a position to divulge much at this moment,” said a senior police official.
Pul became the ninth chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh after he transcends the then Chief Minister Nabam Tuki in February and formed the government with support from the rebel legislators of the Congress as well as the BJP.
