Diljit Dosanjh was born on born 6 January 1984 in Dosanjh Kalan in Phillaur tehsil, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. After spending his childhood in Dosanjh Kalan, he moved to Ludhiana to complete his education. When Diljit was in school, he used to perform Kirtan at nearby gurdwaras.
