Fiesta de San Fermin is the weeklong celebration in honour of Saint Fermin. It is the blend of the three events which are – feast day, ancient trade fair and Bull fighting festival. The festival is outset in the morning with the launch of chupinazo in Pamplona plaza.
There are series of four rocket launches. The first one signals the starts of race, second one signals that bull are within the streets/arena , third ensures that bull have entered the bull ring and the forth one ensures that bull have reached in their bullpens and race is concluded.
The enthusiast crowd waits for the countdown and celebrates with food and champagne for 9 consecutive days. There are Parades of big headed giants also known as cabezudos, bull run, fireworks and bullfight . It is a heart pounding experience for both spectators and participants.
NOTE: This event is not for faint hearted person as it is dangerous. You may skip your heartbeat even if you are a spectator.
