GATE Registration
GATE registration was opened on 2nd September 2021. The last date to apply without late fees was 30th September 2021. A late fee of Rs. 500 was charged for those applying later till 7th October 2021.

Education Qualification for Gate exam
Any student who has completed or is in the final year of graduation can apply for GATE 2022. Students from commerce or arts are also eligible to apply. The minimum requirement is 10+2+3 to apply for the exam. Hence, students from engineering, science, technology, architecture, commerce, and arts can apply for the exam.

GATE 2022 Exam Pattern Duration
The GATE 2022 exam consists of:
- Multiple-Choice Questions: With negative marking
- Numerical Answer Type: Without negative marking
The exam duration is for 3 hours.
There are 2 sections in the exam:
- General Aptitude
- The subject selected by the candidate
The total number of questions is 65, including 55 questions on the core subject and 10 questions on aptitude.
The marks are distributed as:
- General Aptitude – 15 marks
- Engineering Mathematics – 13 marks
- Core Subject – 72 Marks
Total marks are 100.

GATE 2022 Admit Card
The GATE 2022 Admit Card will be available for download on 3rd January 2022.
Steps to download the admit card are:
- Visit https://gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
- Enter enrollment number and password (accredited during registration)
- Click on Login
- Click on the GATE Admit Card Download link
- Download the PDF Admit Card
- Print and save the PDF copy
You will need to carry the printed admit card (hard copy) for the examination.
