Delhi, 17:00 PM: It has been reported early morning that Gurgaon faces heavy traffic jam due to waterlogging, well there is a news of a little relief that traffic has finally started moving. Though a bit slow but traffic is in process of being cleared on Sohna road, Hero Honda Chowk and NH8 towards Jaipur.
There have been trending tweets in praise of Gurgaon Traffic police, whose commendable efforts have given relief to commuters after about 12 hours of a traffic jam.
Delhi, 13:15 PM: Gurgaon is still suffering from heavy traffic and water logging issues due to heavy rainfall in Delhi -NCR.
Gurgaon police tweeted a video showing the condition of streets at Hero Honda Chowk, where one may see lined up trucks and cars struggling to reach their destination.
Delhi, 10:30 AM: Gurgaon today morning urged commuters from Delhi to stay away after jam was caused by rain and water-logging.
Commuters were stuck for hours on Delhi- Gurgaon expressway last night and it has been advised by Gurgaon police to avoid routes till at least noon.
Gurgaon police tweeted-“Waterlogging on several roads in Gurgaon has led to a gridlock in parts of the city. Entire traffic police are on road trying to do the best”.
There was a massive jam as vehicles, especially on the Delhi-Jaipur stretch.
“Total failure of the administration in Gurgaon, Hero Honda Chowk standstill from last 3 hrs,” tweeted a commuter.
Over four-feet-deep water was witnessed swamping places near the expressway.
