Gurmehar Kaur pulls out from Ramjas Protest March

The Delhi University Student, Gurmehar Kaur who alleged Rape threats over her on Social media when she campaigned against the ABVP, has reportedly withdrawn herself out of a March today against the campus violence. In a series of tweets, she appealed other students to join the “Save DU” march in large numbers.

She wrote: “To anyone questioning my courage and bravery. I’ve shown more than enough“.

She Tweeted:

Gurmehar was given police protection yesterday after she was trolled with tweets threatening rape over her Facebook post against Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad.

She was also targeted for a video posted last year in which she appealed for peace between India and Pakistan through a placard message that reads, “ Pakistan Did not kill my dad, War killed him.”
Among those who appeared to counter Ms Kaur with the tweets were, Union Miniter Kiren Rijiju,

Sarabjit Actor, Randeep Hooda,

Lawmaker of BJP, Pratap Sinha,

However, Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal came out in strong support with a tweet:
