Hardik Pandya Comeback News – India is set to tour New Zealand in the month of March next year. This series might just be a possibility for a comeback from the Indian pace bowling all-rounder Hardik Pandya who had sustained a lower back injury during the 2019 world cup which was played in England. The last competitive cricket which Pandya played was the third and the final match of the T20 International series in the month of September 2019 against South Africa in Bengaluru.

Pandya wants to get back in action and also wants to play the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League which may allow him to build his capacity by the time the World T20 arrives in Australia from October 2020.

Pandya has revealed some important assignments, for which he had to take the surgery option at the earliest and is now hopeful that this surgery might put an end to his injury that  he has suffered for more than five years now.

Hardik Pandya Comeback News – Hardik Pandya spoke to the media about his surgery, and said that they thought it is the right time to do the surgery. Even if he takes more than four months from now, then also, he can be back for the tour of New Zealand. This is the plan, for now, to play International Games and the 2020 season of the IPL which will help him to be in the groove for the World T20 in Australia.

But the biggest concern for the World T20 would be the selection. He could have done the surgery a few months later. But this would not have helped him in any way. He also said that he feels a difference in the back which he wasn’t able to take.

Hardik Pandya Comeback News – Pandya took a consultation from team India’s physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar and then decided to go ahead with the surgery late in the month of September. Due to that, Hardik missed the series against West Indies.

He complained about his lower back stiffness in the Asia Cup tournament after which he was ruled out of the home series against Australia.

Hardik Pandya Comeback News – Pandya tried everything which could avoid the surgery but nothing worked for him. Then he noticed that he wasn’t able to give his 100 per cent on the field which gave him the feeling of doing injustice to himself and to the team as well. This is when he decided to go for the surgery.

Hardik understood the importance of mental recovery and easing return. He gave the examples of Pat Cummins and Jasprit Bumrah and said that he has seen Pat and Bumrah coming from their respective injuries stronger than before. He also met some past cricketers who had bad injuries and surgeries and found ways to overcome them positively. He has learnt the art of patience from them and aims to give 200 per cent when he returns because he has seen what happens when the knife touches the body.

Hardik Pandya Comeback News – He continued saying further that “It is important not to rush, if the body is not ready. Keep motivating yourself and don’t think why this happened to you. Patience is the most important thing because injuries are not easy. Being positive is also as equally important.”

Hardik Pandya was operated on 5th October 2019 in London. He is now back in Mumbai and there is a lot of time for him to begin his involvement in the cricket activities. But, there might be a chance that Pandya might play the Ranji Trophy at a later stage although it is too early to say that due to his post-operation period.

Hardik Pandya Comeback News – Currently, India will play against the West Indies. Then, in January 2020, Sri Lanka and Australia will tour India for the limited-overs competition and then India will travel to New Zealand for the 5 T20 Internationals, the 3 One Day International series and the two test matches.
