How to boost immunity with ayurveda – Immunity-boosting measures
- Eat 10 grams of chyawanprash (च्यवनप्राश) in the morning. Those with diabetes can opt for a sugar-free one.
- Drink Herbal Tea (Kadha), made from Dalchini (Cinnamon), Kalimirch (Black Pepper), Tulsi (Basil), Munakka (Black Raisin), and Shunthi (Dry Ginger). Consume this tea once or twice a day. You can also add jaggery (natural sugar) and fresh lemon juice to suit your taste.
- Drink 150 ml hot milk with a mixture of half teaspoon Haldi (turmeric) powder.

Tips to boost immunity with Ayurveda
- Drink warm water throughout the day.
- Practice Yogasana, Pranayama, and meditation for at least 30 minutes every day.
- Add Haldi (Turmeric), Jeera (Cumin), Lehsun (Garlic), and Dhaniya (Coriander) spices while cooking your meals.
- Appy sesame oil/coconut oil/ghee in both your nostrils, both in the morning and evening. This is called Nasal Application or PratimarshNasya.
- Add 1 tbsp sesame or coconut oil in your mouth and swish it in your mouth for 2-3 minutes. Then spit it off, followed by warm water rinsing. You can follow this procedure once or twice a day.
Ayurvedic Treatment for a sore throat or dry cough
- Practice steam inhalation once a day with fresh Pudina (Mint) leaves or Ajwain (Caraway seeds).
- Eat Laung (Clove) powder with honey, 2-3 times a day.
- Consult a doctor in case none of these treatments workout in soothing your dry cough or sore throat.
