- Wash with Chemical Exfoliator
Even if you popped up your whitehead, what you can do to save it is that you must immediately wash it with a chemical exfoliator to prevent it from growing and spoiling the skin. Chemical Exfoliators are better than physical exfoliators (scrubs, etc) because physical exfoliators only help in removing the dead skin cells from the top of the skin and not from within.
- Facial Steam:
To get rid of whiteheads, you must try facial steaming. All you need to do is boil some water in a pan to create some steam and then turn off the heat. Place your face over the pan to let the steam come on your face and cover your head with a towel to trap the steam to fall in your face. Steam your face for 5-8 minutes and then pat dry your skin with a clean towel.
- Apple cider vinegar:
With its antibacterial properties, Apple cider vinegar helps to reduce inflammation and shrinks pores. Mix 2-3 tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar in warm water. Now apply it on whiteheads after washing your face. Keep it on for 20 minutes and then wash it out with water.

- Lemon juice:
Lemon Juice contains antibacterial compounds and that helps to reduce inflammation. It can be applied to whiteheads using a cotton pad or clean fingers. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off with water.
- Tea tree oil:
Tea Tree Oil works well on pimples and whiteheads. This is because it has disinfecting and soothing properties. The oil easily penetrates the blockage between the skin and the sebaceous glands. It disinfects the pores and dries out whiteheads and blackheads.
Honey’s bacteria-fighting properties make it work like a dream to get rid of whiteheads. All you need to do is heat honey for 10-15 seconds and then apply it on your face after cleansing. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with water.
