What can you eat and drink during Sawan somwar vrat :
During the day:
– Fruit juice
– Nuts, Dates, and Raisins
In the evening:
– Regular vegetarian meal prepared without Salt, Garlic, and Onion
No salt should be consumed during the fast. If you can not stay without salt, then you can add sendha namak (rock salt) to the food in the evening.
What not to eat/drink during Sawan somwar vrat :
– Non-vegetarian food
Scientifically speaking, consumption of Leafy vegetables and Brinjals should also be avoided during this month as these are infested with germs and insects during the monsoon.
