The ICA – Indian Cricket Association now will be formally recognised by the Board of Cricket Control In India.

ICA was formed on July 5th 2019 under section 8 of company act 2013. ICA is a non-profit company which will conserve and advance the welfare of the former players.
Now BCCI will join the boards like Cricket Australia and England Cricket Board who will have an official players association which is designed to help the retire players.

The Board has also put some criteria for a member of the Indian Cricket Association, which are as follows –
- The membership shall be given to male and female former cricketers who have played at least one international match of any format.
- The former male and Female cricketers should have played at least 10 matches in the first-class arena of any format in the senior level.

- Former Female cricketers should have played at least 5 first-class matches of any format of the senior level.
- There some provisions for differently-abled cricketers as well. These cricketers should have played International cricket or first-class cricket. Those matches should be recognised by BCCI or ICC, or the tournament should be organised by the BCCI or ICC in any format of the game at the senior level.

2 ICA members should represent the 9 members Apex Council, this law is as per BCCI’s Supreme Court’s constitution and this was registered in last year’s month of August. The member should be one male and one female.
