ICC CWC 2019 South Africa Vs West Indies 15th Match Preview Prediction

South Africa Vs West Indies 15th Match Preview Prediction – The sun’s getting really low on the South African side but more often than not, it has compelled the team to re-strategize and come out with a louder statement. On the other hand, will be the hard-hitting West Indian who fell short by 15 runs to register their second win in the tournament courtesy some sloppy decision by on-field umpires. Leaving aside the factor, the match remains of prominence as the West Indians have used Short balls to reclaim what was their invention in the 80s when the bowlers ran hard to dismantle the opposition with the short ball strategy. With a captain as cool as Clive Lyod, Holder has been able to impress with his astute captaincy skills, a leader which often was missed in the side which always had potentials. The South African side will be required to have a clear introspection as their side has been laid in half, one by injuries and the other by temperament. Three losses in a trot had dealt a heavy blow to their confidence and their prime objective would be to win the contest and stay afloat in the tournament. Introspection would be the key when the two teams take on each other. While one would like to rethink their batting order, the other their bowling which has been subpar.

The chokers tag was often attributed to the South African side due to their non-performance in the knock out stages but never has been the case when the team has lost three straight games in an ICC tournament. For a team which was labelled with the favorites tag, the three losses have almost but gotten under the skin and they would very much like to correct their failures. Nothing that a win can raise their morale to compete in this tournament while a loss would surely put them out of the tournament.

The batting need to be tight right at the top. Quinton De Kock showed promise in the first match against England but has been sloppy in the next two matches. His partner, Amla, has been in the worst batting patch of his life. His dismissals against England (when he came back after retirement) and India talk about a lot of jinxes. Kohli too was amazed as to how Amla got out in the third match and he had never seen anything like it. It seems amazing to most cricket fans to see Amla not been able to take out a stride against the swinging deliveries, a niche where he has mastered better than everyone else. The team would expect the openers to give the team a good start.

Faf Du Plessis’s form has also taken a dip and while he was judged the best catcher in the side, his drop of Rohit Sharma at Just 1 would be very hard to swallow. He would want to come back and make a statement while the middle order comprising of Miller, Van der Dussan and Duminy must also take responsibility if the top order collapses. They must act in a responsible manner which they have failed to do in the past three games. Of them, Duminy has seen the most failure which he would like to consider. Morris was fantastic with bat and ball and would like to continue performing that way.

The bowling has seen some dead blows with their front-line pacers in Lungi Ngidi and Dale Steyn out with injuries. They are short of balling options and might bring back Dwaine Pretorius into the fold against West Indies. While they think the West Indies can bat better to pace, they can go in with a combination of Tabrej Shamsi and Tahir. A lot of changes can be expected in the South African side when they take on West Indies.

West Indies Team Preview
There is a little that needs to be fixed when it comes to the West Indian side. They have been firing full throttle with their bowling and getting runs in their batting as well. they had announced their arrival with a 400-run mark against New Zealand in the practice match. While they were up to the task in their tournament opener against Pakistan, they failed to get over to the line against Australia due to some sloppy batting at the end and Umpiring errors. The fans will expect to see a neck to neck fight when they take on injury struck South Africa.
The batting was approaching the game nicely against Australia but some crucial wickets at the crucial junctures saw them falling short. However, they would be happy to see some bright spots in the batting as well. Shai Hope, Hetmyer and then captain Holder would love to repeat their performances from the last match while Gayle who was given out on what was supposed to be a free hit ball must have charged him fully. The other batters including Russel would want to use the opportunity to get back in the form given how the bowling performance of South Africa has dipped.
