After winning the first final match of the Commonwealth Bank ODI Series, the Indian team landed at Brisbane. The visitors batted first and India scored 258/9 in 50 overs with the help of Sachin Tendulkar’s 91 runs. In response, Indian bowlers worked wonders and won the match by 9 runs as the host, Australia was all out for just 249 runs. Mathew Hayden and James Hopes scored half-centuries for Australia, while Praveen Kumar was the best bowler for India. PK took 4 wickets to his name and helped India to defend this modest score.

Sydney, 2016 ind vs aus sydney 2016

In 2016, the final match of the series of five-match ODI series was played in Sydney. In this match, the host team created a big score of 330/7 to chase for India. Aussies reached that score with the help of a 122 run knock played by David Warner. Mitchell Marsh also scored an unbeaten ton. He was not out on 102 runs. In response, India struggled. But India’s opening batsman Rohit Sharma scored 99 runs and Manish Pandey scored his maiden ODI century that guided India through to an excellent win over the Aussies. Pandey played an unbeaten knock of 104 runs as India chased the target down by losing just 4 wickets and they achieved this score in 49.4 overs.

In the first final of the Commonwealth Bank Series played in 2008, Australia batted first and scored a total of 239/8 in 50 overs. For the hosts, it was Matthew Hayden’s knock of 82 runs that guided Australia to this score. In response, India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar played a memorable inning of unbeaten 107 runs off 120 balls including 10 fours. India chased down this target in just 45.5 overs and won the match by 4 wickets.

Adelaide – 2012ind vs aus adelaide 2012

The fourth match of the 2012 Commonwealth Bank Series was played between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval ground. In this match, Australia batted first and scored 269/8 in 50 overs.  Australia’s David Hussey made 72 runs while Peter Forrest made 66 runs. In response, Indian opener Gautam Gambhir played a memorable inning of 92 runs. In the end, MS Dhoni scored an unbeaten 44 runs and made India win the match. India won this match by 2 wickets as they chased down the score in 49.4 overs.

Benson and Hedges World Series, Perth 1991 – In the second match of Benson and Hedges World Series, India batted first. The Indian opener Srikanth scored a run a ball, a total of 60 runs to his name and along with him, Sachin Tendulkar scored 36 runs. India could manage to make just 208 runs in their 50 overs. Indian bowlers came to the rescue of the team. Indian all-rounder Ravi Shastri gave a magnificent bowling performance that ensured India’s victory in a low scoring match. Alan Border scored the maximum runs for Australia i.e. 32 runs. Australia could manage to make only 101 runs in 37.5 overs. Shastri took 5 wickets for 15 runs in the match.
