Naming a full-strength squad for the T20 series with the only notable omission being of pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar who huffed and puffed endlessly in Australia and New Zealand, India has brought in all the 15 players who they’ve reposed their faith in and earmarked to take to England for the world cup. Mainstays of the team, captain Virat Kohli and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah both return to the Indian fold after having been given much-needed rest recently to manage their congested workload. Wicket-keeper Pant also finds himself being recalled to the side at Karthik’s expense who failed to impress us recently. Spinner Yadav has also been rested for the T20 series.

Meanwhile, as far as the team news on the visitors’ front goes, Starc has been ruled out of the upcoming series along with Shaun Marsh, who is expecting the birth of his second child and also recovering from a hamstring injury, is expected to join the team from the third ODI while Mitchell Marsh has been left out of the squad.  Richardson and Nathan Coulter-Nile have both been called up to the team.
