India vs Australia Series 2021 Pink Ball Test News – Team India is set to tour Australia in the year 2021 and possibly this can be the first-ever test series where two-day night test matches can be played.

This plea was asked by the Cricket Board when they met the new BCCI administrators. The two boards discussed about the limited over series which will be played in 2021 January but the agenda was about the 2-day night test matches in the series.

India vs Australia Series 2021 Pink Ball Test News – The test matches can be played at Sydney, Adelaide and Perth where the day-night test matches can also be played. But a better time slot should be given to Indian broadcasters and the Indian audiences.

Nothing has been fixed now but Australia will talk about the series when the Australian team will tour to India in January 2020 for the limited-overs competition. Cricket Australia’s Chairman Earl Edding said that now they have played the day-night test match at home, they have gone through the process which they might want to build up here. There is no doubt that India will play 1-day night test match at least maybe India could consider playing one more day-night test match. The Cricket Australia board will sit down and talk to the BCCI officials when they meet in January next year.

In an interview when Kevin was asked how many matches with the pink ball he would like to see in the summer? Kevin replied that at least one out of four as the day-night test match.

India has dominating victory over Bangladesh in their first-ever day-night test match was played at the Eden Garden in November 2019. In this test match, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli was asked about the day-night test matches on the next tour to Australia. Kohli replied that he will be ok with it but there should be at least one warm-up game under the lights before the actual test match starts.

Before him, the BCCI wasn’t keen to host any day-night test match. But when Ganguly became the president he immediately arranged a day-night test match.

Sourav Ganguly was also asked about the day-night test match on the tour to Australia he said that when the Indian team tours abroad they will go as per the request of the host board.

Will these test matches will be stretched in the first week of January like the 2007 and 2008 tour or 2011 and 2012 tours did? Or will it be in a traditional way with the last test concluded at the SCG?

The reply from Eddings didn’t answer the above query but he indicated that  Australia will want to play a test series of 5 matches against India just like the England cricket team does against India. But this tour of India will go ahead with as usual of 4 test matches. In future, Australia will plan to host 5 test matches against India. As of now, one test match will be played against Afghanistan.

He backed Ganguly for this job and said that Ganguly cares for the game. The board members of Australia will meet Ganguly and the other BCCI members when they will come in January 2020. Australia has a lot of mutual respect for India and the board will like to strengthen their relationship with India.

Now due to the BCCI members’ insistence, Australia will play the limited over series in January 2020. Then India will tour to New Zealand to play 5 T20 International and two-match test series with that the BCCI officials are also pushing a One Day International series during that tour.
