England beats India: England on Friday included Johnny Bairstow (124 runs, 112 balls, 11 fours, 7 sixes), Ben Stokes (99 runs, 52 balls, 4 fours, 10 sixes) and Jason Roy (55 runs, 52 balls, seven fours, 1 six). India put up a target of 337 runs in front of England, which they achieved by losing four wickets in 43.3 overs. England have achieved the biggest goal of their ODI history while chasing down this target in India.  The English team hit a total of 20 sixes on India bowlers which equals the record of the most sixes hit by any team in India against India. Earlier, the South African team has also hit 20 sixes against India.

Bairstow played a key role in this victory as a match winning player, who scored  11th century in his ODI career, first shared a 110-run partnership for the first wicket with Roy and then a 175-run partnership for the second wicket with Ben Stokes.

At one time England looked to win by 9 wickets but after losing three wickets in two overs, their pace also slowed down. Stokes was heading towards an excellent century but unfortunately he missed it by just one run and out on 99 he was dismissed by Bhuvneshwar. After this, the Prasidh Krishna struck a fourth blow to England by dismissing Bairstow and captain Jos Buttler on (0) in the same over. Later Dawid Malan 16 runs and Liam Livingstone 27 runs, playing his first ODI, gave the team victory while remaining unbeaten.

England defeated India by 6 wickets in the second international ODI match played in Pune. After the match, Indian captain Virat Kohli said that it is very sensible to accept this defeat without any restriction.

From India, the Prasidh Krishna took two wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar got a breakthrough.

Earlier, India scored 336 for six in 50 overs, batting first, thanks to the brilliant innings of Lokesh Rahul (108), Rishabh Pant (77) and captain Virat Kohli (66). Rahul scored 108 off 114 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes, while Pant’s 77 from 40 balls with three fours and seven sixes and Kohli’s 66 from 79 balls with the help of three fours and a six. Hardik Pandya also played a stormy innings of 35 runs with the help of four sixes and a four off 16 balls while his brother Krunal Pandya remained unbeaten on 12 runs with the help of a four off nine balls.

For England, Tom Curran and Topley took two wickets each while Adil Rashid and Sam Curran took one wicket each.
