After two embarrassing performances, the Indian unit finally got their act together at a time when it was needed most. Dhawan, Rahane and Pujara all stood up as they made the most of their potential and immense talent to give it back to the English bowlers. And with captain fantastic Kohli back to his enigmatic best, the Indians look in good touch ahead of the fourth match. For a side that looked nervy and out of sorts just two weeks back, the Indian side has done pretty well to turn things around in such emphatic style. This is what puts the team in good brace ahead of the coming test. With the squad gelling well together and the batsmen complementing the bowlers perfectly, we expect the Indians to go in with an unchanged side come Wednesday.
On the other hand, an overconfident England unit learned things the hard way at Trent Bridge. Dreaming of a series victory long before it came cost them dearly as their batting unit was destroyed by Sharma, Pandya and Bumrah. An apathetic display that saw them go down by 203 runs has made an otherwise well-settled side jittery which has lead to them recalling James Vince to shore up the batting line.
“James returns to the England set-up in confident form and scoring runs. He has been in excellent form for Hampshire,” said national selector Ed Smith.
The hosts will be looking to gather their lost confidence. Picking up the wicket of Kohli holds the key to the match for them while for the visitors the batting line-up needs to continue the form they rediscovered last match. As always fireworks are promised when these two step out to play in the longest format of the game. Catch all the action live on Tentaran.com on the 29th starting 3:30 pm IST.
