India vs New Zealand XI Test 2020 Highlights – After losing the ODI series 0-3, Team India will now try to win the Test series which will be starting on February 21st, 2020.
India did not bat well enough in the practice match as the New Zealand XI bowlers tightened the grip on Team India’s batsmen. The Indian team managed to score only 263 runs in their first innings on the first day of the three-day warm-up match against New Zealand XI at Hamilton.

After this Mayank Agarwal also walked back to the pavilion and then Shubman Gill also bagged a golden duck. Shaw and Gill could not withstand the extra bounce, while Agarwal fell victim to the seam.
Captain Virat Kohli did turn up for this warm-up match. He preferred net practice rather than this warm-up match while Ajinkya Rahane managed only 18 runs. He also could not play the innings which he is most known for.
India had lost their top four batsmen for just 38 runs. After this, India’s Test specialist, Cheteshwar Pujara and their useful all-rounder, Hanuma Vihari shared 195 runs for the fifth wicket.

The 32-year-old Pujara (92) missed out on a century, while Hanuma Vihari scored 101 runs. Although this match does not have first-class status, India lost the last six wickets within 30 runs. Rishabh Pant, who batted for the first time on this New Zealand tour scored just 7 runs while Wriddhiman Saha also failed to do anything in the practice match.
For New Zealand XI, fast bowler Scott Kuggeleijn and leg-spinner Ish Sodhi took 3 wickets each.
