Indian cricket news latest – Indian Premier League 2021: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet released the schedule for the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

According to the website, in view of the pandemic and monsoon, both the teams have postponed their plans to organize a camp in India.

CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said, “We want to reach there by August 15 or at most 20. We have informed BCCI about this.  We are looking forward to getting the necessary permissions, without which it would be difficult to execute the logistical plans.

A Delhi Capitals official has also confirmed from this website that they want to stay in Dubai till the same time, and have already informed the BCCI/IPL authorities.

Rishabh Pant recovers from Covid-19

The Indian team has got a big relief before the Test series against England.  Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has joined the Indian Test team here after recovering from Covid-19 and completing isolation.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given this information by tweeting a picture.  The caption of the photo read- “Hello Pant, it feels great to have you back in the team.”

The BCCI announced on 15 July that both Pant and training assistant Dayanand Garani have tested positive for COVID-19.  The board had said that the young wicketkeeper was already in his eighth day of isolation at the time of the announcement.

Wriddhiman Saha, India’s other wicketkeeper on the tour, is still in isolation due to Garani’s contact with bowling coach Bharat Arun and standby batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran.  All three are expected to come out of isolation on July 24.
