Probably one of the most successful captains in the world, MS Dhoni has achieved almost everything while he was on the cricket field. He led India to three ICC Trophies, 2007 World T20, 2011 50-over World Cup, and 2013 Champions Trophy.

But apart from being a brilliant captain, Dhoni was also rewarded with the honourable position of Lieutenant Colonel by the Indian Territorial Army. He was also a part of the camp after the team’s World Cup 2019 exit as they lost the semi-final to New Zealand. Dhoni retired from all forms of the game on August 15 this year.

Joginder Sharma- Deputy Superintendent Of Police, Haryana

How many of you remember Joginder Sharma? He is the same bowler who bowled the final over of the World T20 in 2007 against Pakistan and eventually won the match for India. Sharma wasn’t seen again in the Indian colours but his performance in the World Cup certainly earned him a very respectable job with Haryana Police. He is now in the Kurukshetra district as a Deputy Superintendent of the Haryana Police.

Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the most important players in the current Indian team’s setup. The leg-spinner has made a good name for himself at the highest level. But Chahal is surely an all-rounder in real life too.

While he is now playing for India, Chahal has been a chess player in his early days and now has a Government job too. He has been with the Income tax department as officer.

KL Rahul- Assistant Manager, Reserve Bank Of India

KL Rahul’s resurgence has been pretty helpful for the team. But apart from being a flamboyant wicket-keeper batsman, Rahul also has a Government job. He holds the position of Assistant Manager with The Reserve Bank of India.

He joined The Reserve Bank of India as the Assistant Manager under the sports quota in 2017.

Former India captain Kapil Dev who led the team to first-ever World Cup triumph in 1983 was recognized by the Indian Army, to become the first cricketer to achieve the feat. He was honoured with the post of Lieutenant Colonel.

Sachin Tendulkar – Group Captain, Indian Air force:

The batting legend Sachin Tendulkar was honoured with the rank of a Group Captain in the Indian Air Force. Tendulkar has held a number of records which include scoring the most number of international runs. He also notched up 100 hundreds at the highest level while was a part of the Indian team that lifted the World Cup in 2011 under MS Dhoni’s captaincy.

Harbhajan Singh – Deputy Superintendent of Police, Punjab

One of India’s finest off-spinners of all time, Harbhajan Singh has unfolded some brilliant performances for the team. The right-arm spinner became the first Indian to bag a Test hat-trick while was a part of the Indian team that lifted the World T20 in 2007 and the 50-over World Cup in 2011.

Harbhajan was appointed as Deputy Superintendent by Punjab Police as a reward for his services to the game.
