Indian sports fraternity slams Pulwama attack on CRPF jawans – The sports fraternity of India has come together to not only condemn the Pulwama Attack but also to lend their support to the families of all the martyrs. Be it, cricketers, athletes or other sportspersons across the country, everyone is hurt and have expressed their anger and condolences.

Virat Kohli
Indian captain Virat Kohli has postponed the RP-SG Indian Sports Honours, which was to take place, as a “mark of respect”.
The RP-SG Indian Sports Honours has been postponed. At this heavy moment of loss that we all find ourselves in, we would like to cancel this event that was scheduled to take place tomorrow,” Kohli said.
Sanjiv Goenka and @imVkohli are deeply pained at the recent unfortunate event in Pulwama and express their solidarity to the families of the Martyrs. They have hence decided to postpone the 2nd edition of the ISH which was scheduled for 16th Feb19 in Mumbai, to a later date.

Virender Sehwag
Cricketer Virender Sehwag offered to shoulder the responsibility of all the children of the Pulwama attack martyrs. He took to Twitter to offer his hand of support.
“Nothing we can do will be enough, but the least I can do is offer to take complete care of the education of the children of our brave CRPF jawans martyred in #Pulwama in my Sehwag International School @SehwagSchool , Jhajjar. Saubhagya hoga,” Sehwag wrote on Twitter.

“Really pained by the cowardly attack on our CRPF in J&K in which our brave men have been martyred. No words are enough to describe the pain. I wish a speedy recovery to those injured,” Sehwag said earlier in relation to the attacks.

CCI Covers a painting of Imran Khan
The Cricket Club of India (CCI) has covered a portrait of Imran Khan at its premises following the terrorist attack on a CRPF convoy. The committee has also said that a meeting will be held on the issue, following which a permanent decision to take down the picture will be taken.
