The Lankan lions have a mighty task of saving their reputation as they face India in the last match of the three match series.Sri Lanka who have been criticized by fans and deemed unfit by the sports minister face India following their defeats in Galle and Colombo. They were thrashed by an innings in the last match, handing them a series defeat and a threat of going winless in the series if they fail to win this match too. Below par performances in all three departments of the game have left Sri Lanka ruing what could have been and only a miracle looks to provide them any face saver.
A buoyant India meanwhile will be looking to go in straight for the win and attack the Lankans who are left licking their wounds. The last match was the first time India won a Test match by an innings in Sri Lanka and they will now look to make a clean sweep of the series at Kandy. Captain Virat Kohli also set a new record as this was the first time an Indian captain has won two series in Sri Lanka.
India vs Sri Lanka, 3rd Test, Pallekele, Day 1 will start at 10:00 am IST on Saturday.
