PV Sindhu is India’s woman achiever on the world badminton court. She is the first and only India who is a Badminton World Champion. Her highest ranking has been No. 2 in April 2017. Currently, her ranking is No. 7. She is the second athlete to have won two consecutive Olympic medals. She is also the first Indian who won a gold medal at the BWF World Badminton Championship. She has been awarded the third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan by the Indian government to honour her achievements.

The founder and CEO of Nykaa, Falguni Nayar became the wealthiest female Indian billionaire last year after the NYkaa IPO. Tulsi Gowda is an Indian environmentalist who won the Padma Shri for her contribution in 2020. This Indian woman achiever has planted more than 30,000 saplings and is lovingly called the ‘Encyclopaedia of Forest.’ Born and living in the Honnali village of Karnataka, this Indian woman belongs to the Halakki tribal family. She was a small child when she started working in a nursery with her mother. She never received any formal education but has extensive knowledge of plants and their species. Her work was recognized and rewarded by the Indian government. She looks after the nurseries of the Forest Department.

Leena Nair is worth mentioning on this Women’s Day 2022. This Inspiring Indian Women Achievers is the first ever female and youngest global CEO of global brand Chanel. Earlier she was the Chief Human Resource Officer of Unilever and under her leadership, the company was named the FMCG graduate employer of choice in 54 countries. She was also Unilever’s youngest, first female, first Asian Chief Human Resources Officer. She received the ‘Role Model of the Year’ award at the Great British Businesswoman’s Awards. In 2017, she was recognized by Queen Elizabeth II as an accomplished Indian Business Leader in the UK.
