Coming back to the CSK Vs RCB match highlights, with Dhoni winning the toss for the millionth time in his career, he opted to bowl first in a decision which was supposed to be a game-changer. His advantage didn’t see to pay off though as AB de Villiers teed off one again to make the Chinnaswamy his personal playground. Going berserk, he hit 8 sixes to score 68 off a mere 30 balls at a whopping strike rate of 226. Taking off from de Villiers had left the RCB innings, Mandeep Singh scored a quick-fire 32 down the order to ensure that his innings along with Sunder’s last over exploits saw RCB reach past the fabled 200 run mark.
With everything against them in the change, it seemed as if CSK would finally end up losing their second match of the season. Well, write CSK off at your own peril. Despite an opening order slump which saw them struggle in the first 10 overs owing to a wonderful spell by Umesh Yadav, CSK were always in the chase thanks to the marvelous Dhoni. Taking charge of CSK’s chase once again, Ambati Rayudu scored one of the best innings of his career as he notched up 82 to not only see Chennai to a win but also saw him take the orange cap from de Villiers. Anderson’s balling style proved to be a bliss in disguise for the CSK team as Dhoni went on to hit many sixes during his overs. The highlight of the night though was a vintage performance from the bat of Dhoni. Requiring a run rate of over 13 when he walked in, Dhoni made the target look like child’s play as his 70 off 34 saw him win the match with a gigantic six.
