Looking to find out the list of IPL awards 2018? With the IPL hardly a week away, the excitement for cricket’s biggest festival is building up. With different teams shooting promotional videos with their players, all squads have begun bonding and brain-storming their strategies in a bid to win the coveted title. What the Indian Premier League offers is not just the trophy of champions though. It also boasts of a plethora of individual awards which players will be eyeing up as they look to put their best foot forward to lay claim to some individual glory as well. Here’s the complete the list of IPL awards 2018 :

  • Winners Mementos, Trophy and Cheque (RS 15 crore prize money)
    Presented to the winning team
  • Runner Up Cheque And Mementos (RS 10 crore prize money)
    Presented to the runner-up team
  • Fair Play Award (Trophy)
    This award is judged by the umpires and presented to the team which has been adjudged as the best team to live up to the spirit of cricket based on the following criteria:
    – upholding the spirit of the game during the match;
    – showing respect to the opposition;
    – showing respect for the laws of the game; and
    – showing respect to the Umpires.
  • Purple Cap
    Awarded to the batsman with the most runs at the end of the tournament, the purple cap competition is expected to be one of the most fearsome this season. A plethora of world star batsman is expected to go all out as they look to wear the purple cap on their head at the end of the tournament and also take home Rs.10 lakhs.
  • Orange Cap
    The bowler’s version of the purple cap, the orange cap is presented to the bowler with the most wickets at the end of the tournament. With a lot of inform bowlers stepping into IPL 2018, current winner Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has a fight up his hands.
  • Most Valuable Player
    Rs. 10 lakh prize money and a trophy are presented to the player who has earned the most, most valuable points at the end of the season. These points include fours, sixes, wickets, dot balls, catches and stumping.
  • Emerging Player Award (RS 10 lakh prize money
    Presented to the young player who has performed the best in the IPL. With the prestigious award serving as a ticket into the Indian team on past occasions, with the performances of the winners catching the selector’s eyes, youngsters will be looking to take home this title for sure.
  • Stylish Player of the Season
    Chosen by the team of commentators, the stylish player of the season award goes to the player who has caught the eye owing to his unique brand of cricket and style throughout the tournament.
  • Maximum Sixes Award
    A prize of Rs.10 lakh is presented to the batsman with the most number of sixes at the end of the tournament.

  • Pitch and Ground Awards
  • RS 50 lakh prize money and a trophy for the best-maintained ground
  • RS 25 lakh prize money and a trophy for grounds that have hosted less than 7 matches
