IPL 2018: KKR vs RCB Match Highlights

Mistakes in the auction are hurting the Royal Challengers Bangalore more than they would have imagined. Biting more than they bargained for by letting go of Chris Gayle and KL Rahul, RCH are being made for pay for their mistakes time and time again this season. In the KKR vs RCB match highlights, the match yesterday night saw a similar script being played out at the Chinnaswamy Stadium for them. Another defeat meant that their fifth defeat saw them slip down to 7th in the table, just above Delhi by a margin of a run rate.

Today’s IPL Match Here: Match 30: IPL 2018: DD Vs CSK

Different day but same story. With the batsmen performing yet again, the Bangalore team were once again let down by the bowlers on the day. This has been the story for them practically every season now. Having always been a strong batting side, Bangalore let go of some of their best batsmen to shore up funds to strengthen their bowling unit. Unfortunately for them they failed to draft in the right names. Another match, another poor outing in the field begs us to ask the question. How long before the Bangalore team management and scouts are able to spot the right talent when it comes to the bowling department. How long before they can actually become a real challenger for the trophy. It’s a shame that world-class players like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are still without the IPL trophy in their kitty. They have performed ever so well to be let down by pathetic bowling for so ling.

Shifting our focus back to the match, RCB batted first on the night and ended up posting a respectable total despite losing their way midway. They got a perfect start at the top of the batting order with de Kock and McCullum sharing a fine opening stand to fire the team in the powerplay overs. Captain Kohli walked him at one down to score a blistering 68 and make himself the top scorer in IPL history. He batted right through the end but once again lacked any kind of meaningful support at the other end which saw his side fall well short of 200 which looked quite achievable at one. This ended up costing them in the end as KKR won comfortably by 6 wickets courtesy of man of the match Lynn’s undefeated 62.
