In reply, RCB could only post 198 for six in their stipulated 20 overs. Skipper Virat Kohli scored a half-century but it went in vain as the target was way too much for RCB team loaded with quality players.Mandeep Singh also scored 47 off 25 runs but it wasn’t enough. Shreyas Gopal, who plays Ranji Trophy for Karnataka, silenced his home crowd by getting rid of Kohli and AB de Villiers in quick succession. When Royal Challengers Bangalore asked Rajasthan Royals to bat first, it was assumed skipper Virat Kohli was sticking to the trend of teams chasing down targets. Nine of the 10 games before RCB-RR tie had been won by teams chasing but Sanju Samson had other ideas. Virat Kohli in the post-match presentation defended his pace bowlers. In the hindsight, it is time RCB side should sit down and get their team combination right. Today was just an off day for a talented side but you cannot take anything away from Rajasthan Royals side.

To Sum up Things: It was Sanju Samson’s and Royals day as they prove to be a better side over Royal Challengers Bangalore. Sanju Samson sent the RCB bowlers on a leather hunt and there was no looking back. His half-century came in just 34 balls.
