- KKR take on SRH today
- The match will be played at the Eden Gardens
- The toss takes place at 6:30 pm with the match at 7 pm
Sunrisers Hyderabad travel to the Eden Gardens to take on the Kolkata Knightriders today in the second qualifier of this year’s Indian Premier League. Both teams go into the match with different fortunes. While SRH lost the first qualifier against CSK after a batting collapse, KKR are going into the match on the back of an all-round show against the Rajasthan Royals. With a place in the final against the Chennai Superkings at stake, tensions will run high starting 7 pm today.
Having topped the table, SRH put in a rather disappointing and unexpected performance on Tuesday. Their showing at the Wankhede was uncustomary of this year’s season, a season which they have utterly dominated with both the ball and bat. Given a second chance to make the finals, SRH will not let go of this golden chance and will be looking to bounce back in style.
Social Media Reaction on Shocking Retirement of AB de Villiers
KKR who on the other hand have had an average season stepped up in their eliminator against RR on Wednesday. Not only did they show strength and courage to post a big total after losing early, vital wickets, their showing with the ball were equally impressive. Another thing that works in their favour is the match being played on their home ground, a stadium that they know well and will exploit the conditions to their aid perfectly.
Key Battle:
KKR’s Spin Against Williamson and Dhawan
Having relied too much on Dhawan and Williamson has been a con for SRH. KKR’s trio of Yadav, Narine and Chawla will be bowled early by Karthik in an attempt to get rid of the pair. Willamson on the other hand will be looking to continue his purple patch as he battles it out for the orange cap.
