The win was ever so crucial in their homes for qualification for the playoffs this year, putting them on 5th with a run rate of +0.26. Their win leaves the tournament at an exciting stage. With 4 teams tied at 12 points, it’s anyone’s guess who’ll make the top 4, making this one of the most exciting group stages in the history of the Indian Premier League.
Coming back to SRH vs RCB IPL match highlights, RCB got off to the worst imaginable start with Parthiv Patel departing in the first over itself. He was soon followed by captain Virat Kohli who tried to step and hit out to the crafty Rashid Khan, losing his wicket in the process. His 65 off 34 along with AB’s 69 off 39 was perfectly rounded off by Grandhomme’s 40 to take the home side to 218-6.

SRH came out to chase with intent and vigour. And they almost did it, falling just millimeters short of their target. Before we get to the chase we have to pay our tributes to Williamson who for us has been by far the best batsmen this tournament. The run machine almost took his side to glory with his 81 which was one to behold. Manish Pandey’s heroics were something else too but unfortunately not enough for him and his team as RCB held their nerves in the dying stages of the match to win by 14 runs.
