SRH vs DC Eliminator match Preview
We have the eliminator on us, a match that is set to be a testament to the engrossing and invigorating this 12th season of the Indian Premier League has been. Wednesday beckons our way a match of colossal consequences with either one of the Sunrisers Hyderabad or the Delhi Capitals emerging out of this battle to fight it out in the second qualifier for a place in the revered summit clash.
Having come this far for the first time in years, the Capitals have been a pleasant breath of fresh air to the vociferous and adoring spectator base that has backed them to the fore ever since the inception of the league. With the 9 wins from 14 matches, Delhi were unlucky not to reserve a place in the top 2 on the virtue of divulging in a lower net run-rate than the Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians.
However, given the tremendous form that the franchisee are in, they will be unfazed by the proposition of playing the eliminator. They had decimated the Rajasthan Royals at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in the concluding group stage match, an encounter that had seen them put in one of their most clinical performance of the season. They’ll be looking to resonate that showing and traverse another win against an opposition who find themselves make it to this stage by the barest of margins.

With 3 sides ending on 12 points, SRH managed to scrape it through to the knock-out phase by the smallest of advantage in the net run-rate column. It became the lowest point tally ever recorded by a side to find itself qualify for the top 4 and is one that bespoke how hot and cold SRH’s season has blown all year.
SRH vs DC Eliminator match Preview – Key Battles
Kane Williamson Vs Amit Mishra
This season has by no stretch of the imagination been one we had envisioned the mercurial batsmen to have. After having stamped his authority in IPL 2018 as he waged a lone battle to take his side all the way to the final, Williamson suffered a massive setback due to a recurring injury that kept him out for half of his side’s group stages.

Now fully fit, Williamson has found it tough to settle into his groove and get going. Having taken over the mantle of his side yet again, while Williamson has been decisive with his decision making as a leader, it’s his show with the bat that’s costing a side who are already way too paper thin in the middle-order.
However, Williamson is someone who loves performing under immense pressure. Come the eliminator, he’ll be looking to become the mainstay of his side and put on a foundation for the rest of the batsmen to revolve around. He’ll face a tricky time against Amit Mishra though who is known to persist with the wrong delivery, one that will shape into Williamson rather than away from him.
Rishabh Pant Vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Two players from whom plenty was billed but the performances haven’t lived up to expectations. While both have shown a glimpse of their expansive skill set in patches, they have failed to hit the consistency that was accorded from their franchisees.
Beckon this all-important knock-out encounter, both will know they need to step up and showcase to the world why they are regarded as one of the finest players currently in the arena. Pant is coming off a 50 against Rajasthan and he has a form away from home that has seen him come up with the runs for his side.
If Pant manages to hang around till the death overs, he’ll face Bhuvneshwar who’ll be looking to show his guile and trickery and relentlessly keep peppering Pant with some absolute rippers. It all depends on if Pant can get after him or not which will enable Delhi to end their innings with a flourish.
