IPL 2022 Winner and Runner up Details – The Indian Premier League is one of the most awaited tournaments in the cricket world. With 15th IPL season about to end, there is a lot of excitement in the air.
The first play-off match is scheduled between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals on 24th March 2022 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The 4 teams qualified for the play-offs are Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Gujarat Titans are leading the IPL 2022 season with 20 points. Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants both have secured 18 points. Royal Challengers Bangalore have 16 points in their kitty.

In the 14th season of IPL, Chennai Super Kings became the IPL winner for the 4th time. They defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 27 runs at the Dubai International Stadium on 15th October 2021. This was CSK’s 4th IPL title. Ruturaj Gaikwad was awarded the Orange Cap for 635 runs and Harshal Patel was awarded the Purple Cap for 32 wickets. Faf du Plessis was awarded the Man of the Match and Harshal Patel was awarded the player of the series.

In the 13th season of IPL, Mumbai Indians became the IPL winner and Delhi Capitals was the IPL runner-up. MI defeated DC by 5 wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 10th November 2020. This was MI’s 5th IPL title. KL Rahul was awarded the Orange Cap for 670 runs and Kagiso Rabada was awarded the Purple Cap for 30 wickets. In the 12th season of IPL, Mumbai Indians became the IPL winner and Chennai Super Kings was the IPL runner-up. MI defeated CSK by 1 run at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on 12th May 2019. This was MI’s 4th IPL title. David Warner was awarded the Orange Cap for 692 runs and Imran Tahir was awarded the Purple Cap for 26 wickets. In the 3rd season of IPL, Chennai Super Kings became the IPL winner and Mumbai Indians was the IPL runner-up. CSK defeated MI by 22 runs at the DY Patil Stadium on 25th April 2010. This was CSK’s 1st IPL title. Sachin Tendulkar was awarded the Orange Cap for 618 runs and Pragyan Ojha was awarded the Purple Cap for 21 wickets. Suresh Raina was awarded the Man of the Match and Sachin Tendulkar was awarded the player of the series.

This was RR’s 1st IPL title. Shaun Marsh was awarded the Orange Cap for 616 runs and Sohail Tanvir was awarded the Purple Cap for 21 wickets. Yusuf Pathan was awarded the Man of the Match and Shane Watson was awarded the player of the series.
