IPL All Team Captain List 2020 – The Schedule for the thirteenth season of IPL has been announced. The IPL season will be played from March 29 to May 24. A total of 56 matches will be held this time. Like the last 12 years, this time, the fans will see the thrill to see the IPL.

The first match of the thirteenth season of IPL is going to be high voltage because the match will be played at the Wankhede ground between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. However, the list of the top 8 captains has been announced for this season earlier. This includes the top 8 captains from the past 12 seasons of the IPL so far.

Shreyas Iyer, the young captain of Delhi Capitals, is ranked eighth in this ranking of IPL captains. In the last season, the Delhi team was led by Shreyas and reached the play-offs. But this time, either Ajinkya Rahane or Ravichandran Ashwin will be captaining their sides for the thirteenth season of the IPL. Ravichandran Ashwin is ranked after Shreyas Iyer.

Kings XI Punjab has made it to the playoffs in only one season so far. Chris Gayle, despite being a brilliant player like KL Rahul, did not perform particularly well. Their team was led by Ashwin for the past 5 seasons but he has been sacked from the squad. Now, Kings XI Punjab will be led by KL Rahul.

Dinesh Karthik is the sixth on the list. After Gautam Gambhir left in 2018, Dinesh Karthik was given the captaincy of the team. Kartik then led the team to the playoffs in 2018. But after that, they could not reach the playoffs in the last 2019 season. Even so, there are high expectations on DK in this season.

Virat Kohli is at number five on this list. The Indian team captain, Virat Kohli’s team has never won the IPL title. However, in 2009, 2011, and 2016, his team reached the finals of the IPL. But last season, Virat’s team was at the bottom of the table.

Steve Smith made a comeback in the IPL after two years. However, he led the Pune Supergiants team to the finals for the first year under his leadership. In this too, they were defeated by Mumbai Indians with only one run. Last year, Ajinkya Rahane was named captain but later in that season, Smith was given the role to lead. Due to that, Smith has to do well this season.

The third on our list is the New Captain Cool Kane Williamson. Williamson defeated Bengaluru in 2016 for the first time and Sunrisers Hyderabad won their first title with the same. He then made his way to the finals in 2018.  But last season, Kane hit the floor until the playoffs. He is also named ‘Captain Cool’ in the IPL.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the most important captain, is not at the top of the list but on the second position. Dhoni’s led Chennai team, has won the IPL three times so far. They also made it to the finals 5 times. Dhonis CSK is the number one team in the IPL that reaches the finals most often. The Chennai team could not play due to the ban in 2016, 2017.

Mumbai Indians captain, Rohit Sharma is at the top of the list. The victorious Mumbai team has won four times in the IPL and has the most number of IPL titles. For the first time in 2013, Rohit led Mumbai and till now, Mumbai has reached the playoffs eight times under Rohit’s leadership.
